I built a drum kit once.

In the summer of 2011 I decided to retire my trusty (and tiny) V Series Mapex drum kit in favor of building my own custom kit. The kit's maiden voyage would be a summer tour with Joe Jack Talcum and The Bassturd, where we three would travel over 2500 miles in a 1998 Honda Civic. Yes, three guys, gear and luggage. Including a drum set.

Below are the photos from that drum build. I completed the kit only days before we left for tour. Talk about timing.
